How to apply

  1. Download my PT Client Intake Form.
  2. Fill in the form until where it says you can return it (or, even better, all of it) and save it as a Word, Open Document or Google Document file type.
    This should only take 3 minutes.
  3. Email with the attached form. Without the intake form, I cannot help you.
  4. I’ll email you as soon as possible with my coaching options and rates. If you included the filled in intake form and don’t have extraordinary needs, this should be within 20 hours.


Testimonial discount: I’ll give you a 5% discount if you allow me to use your semi-anonymized data and photos (e.g. face blurred) for professional purposes, like case studies in the Bayesian PT course.

‘No results money back’ guarantee: If after following my program meticulously for a month, you have not progressed, I will give you all your money back.

Student discount: If you can demonstrate you’re a full-time student with no income, you will receive a 25% discount.

Payment methods include PayPal (and thereby credit card) and international wire transfer.


What’s included?

  • A complete periodized strength training program customized based on a set of tests we do in the first week.
  • A complete nutritional program including macronutrients or ad libitum diet guidelines, recommended food choices and a full meal plan, if you want one.
  • A recommended supplementation stack. Supplements aren’t a crucial part of my coaching though and I tend to save my clients a lot more money than they spend on recommended fitness goodies.

My programs are not like most one-size-fits-all routines you see online. They are individually customized to your desired level of commitment, goals, gender, training experience, lifestyle and my estimates of your physiology, including your muscle fiber type composition.

As long as you are my client, you will have free access to my consulting services via email (see below), provided that they are personally relevant to you during the coaching. This includes i.a.

  • Daily email exchange: My response time is almost always below 20 hours.
  • Meal planning: It is my firm belief you should rarely be hungry and enjoy every meal you eat.
  • Video analyses of your technique: I use motion tracking software for elite level technical analysis
  • Diet psychology: Hunger management, dealing with social eating events, coping with prolonged dieting, etc.
  • Lifestyle advice: Sleep optimization, stress management, time management, etc.

I also offer coaching without training programming for a 50% reduced rate.


Who is it for?

My coaching is for serious strength trainees. If you don’t train with weights 3 or more times a week, my coaching is overkill for you. I specialize in intermediate trainees looking to take their physique to the next level. Most of my other clients are physique athletes of all classes and powerlifters. Mixed athletes are also welcome, but I can’t go into sport-specific training (e.g. I can’t teach you how to play baseball). I don’t coach endurance athletes and have no expertise in Olympic weightlifting.


Personal consultations


For all questions and advice that do not involve designing full programs, you can hire me for a consultation. I recommend written consultations due to ease of referencing and clarity, but I am also available via Skype and Google Hangouts.

My rates are based on the time it takes for me to answer your questions. You can email me your questions and I will tell you in advance what it will cost and what I can do for you.

        When I started bodybuilding some 7 years ago, everyone I knew ate big breakfasts and 6 meals a day. It was also commonly accepted that carbs should be limited to the start of the day while ‘slow’ forms of energy should be consumed later in the day. Before bed, people said to take casein with some fat to prevent night time catabolism. I can’t even begin to recount how often I’ve eaten oatmeal with whey for breakfast and cottage cheese with flax seed before bed.

        These days, things are a lot different. Pretty much all of the forms of nutrient timing I just listed are known to be ineffective. You can skip breakfast without sacrificing gains to cortisol, absolute meal frequency is irrelevant, carbs and fats can be eaten at any time of day and you can go without food for a long time without losing muscle.”–emphasis added by me

It made complete sense when you said that sleep and stress are major factors that can put cause you to not loose weight no matter what your plan is. this week according to my fitbit and myfitness pal i was in a 1000 calorie deficit pretty much everyday yet i somehow gained weight this week, however I only got 5-6 hours of sleep a day and I had 3 midterms and 2 papers due. needless to say my stress was through the roof.   42. Hey Menno. I have been watching some videos of you and was interested in the coaching thing for bodybuilding on a keto diet. I was about 190 lbs and started the keto diet about 7 months ago. I’m now down to 165 lbs and have been there for abut 3 months consistently but look too skinny lol. I do lift weights and have some pretty good definition but when I lost all of the weight it made me look thin. Anyway, I need some advice and coaching on how to put on some damn mass. Thanks

    A friend of mine recommended contacting you because of your knowledge. Let me explain in short what I’m training for.

    I’m training for the Volvo Ocean Race. Last 4 years have been about boat handling and technic. Since we’re 1 year an 7 months from the start and selections will start within 4 months I need to get ready physically.

    Hard thing is, this needs to be in strength and condition since it will be a race round the world in periods of 15 to 26 day legs. (in between these legs I need to get back in shape)

    On the average a sailor loses 10% of his body during the race. In example When I started training on boats I weight 86 kg, now 4 years later this is 70 kg.

    My own basic knowledge isn’t enough for now, so I need help. Could you guys get me there?

    I have gotten my genome sequenced via Is it possible to use this data to customize training plans for maximum effect? Do you use this type of data?

    • Hey John, you can send those data along with your intake form. There are only a few genes with some resemblance of practical information and most genetic tests don’t come close to scratching the surface of providing enough information, but I’ll see.
